While there’s not a one-size-fits-all solution for every person that has molested, there are some very practical things that can help anybody during their healing journey. Yes, it is a journey!
- Seek God and Pray daily.
- Surround yourself with positive people and read and listen to positive books and television shows. Get rid of the toxins!
- Talk to someone and/or seek professional help.
- Stop blaming yourself! It was not your fault, even if you didn’t tell, and even if you liked the way it felt.
- Forgive yourself for the choices that you made as a result of being molested.
- Forgive those who offended you. Not easy? They don’t get a pass, but you do get to move on without hurt, anger, and bitterness holding you back from your wonderful future.
